About Darren

The last quarter of the 20th Century was when most recently I entered Chronos (measured) and Kairos (favorable) times together, respectively — born and raised in the Emerald City of Seattle, WA. Besides my profession as an Astrologer, I’m also a Philosopher, an Herbalism student, and an Ordained Minister (non-denominational/Universal).

Life continues revolving around the Wonder of All and I dedicate my days and nights to Goodness, Truth & Order, and Mindful Consciousness. Besides being Numbers- and Team-oriented, other personal traits of Critical thinking, Helpfulness, and Strategic Intelligence have led me from a career as a Finance Analyst in entertainment and tech/e-commerce to walk a path of Transformative Healing.

I began to embrace the ‘study of Starlight’ (Astro-logy) while living in Venice Beach, CA, during the summer of 2008. Traveling and learning throughout the lands of the USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, China, Thailand, Germany, Nepal & India, has been an aid and inspiration in my Earth Life; Coming to the deep understanding — from meeting various bright and soulful People, mingling with enigmatic Nature, and appreciating sensitive Animals — the first Principle of existence is Love.

Currently, I live in Austin, TX with my little family — wife, step-daughter, and an arch black cat, Bucky.

Astrology

Whether you consider Astrology as ‘The Art of Prediction’ or ‘The True Science’ (at best) — or a charlatanic fortune-telling scheme, or simply coincidental pseudo-science (at worst) — some struggle to recall an accurate description or reputation of the practice in general.

However, anyone can find both valid (and questionable) references for Astrology throughout history: from ancient Assyrian priest ‘scroll’ tablature to our current ‘modern’ Age; There is the Mithras ‘cult’ of pre-Christianity to the prophet Daniel consulting his King in the Bible; From your dismissive newspaper Sun sign horoscopes to Latin America’s beloved Walter Mercado; At all times, Astrology can be a powerful method for raising one’s consciousness. It creates self-empowerment and improves one’s daily & long-term physical, emotional, and spiritual environment.

Humankind’s progressive evolution to modern ‘understanding’ from ancient ‘ignorance’ is founded on the study of Celestial objects and their motion. Some of the oldest human markings (heretofore known) of any kind are understood to be representations of the changing Moon faces on bone. Just as ‘mood’ is derived from ‘Moon’, etymologically (due to the changing nature of a woman’s ‘moon’ cycle), so are countless other meanings of a revolutionary nature concerning humankind’s existence communicated via the Theatre of the Sky.

Astrology is not a hoax or a joke or a pseudo-religious system. It is an enigmatic, symbiotic system of relationships closer to the ideas of Color, Mathematics and Music. Indoctrination of false precepts and/or ignorance is one of the methods used by corrupt and powerful people to keep regular folks ‘down’ in a state of derision and division. Astrology is an ageless technology, a tool, which has stood the test of time to encourage All Beings to rise up in their self-knowledge, in Awareness, to dive deep into the wisdom of the Great Mystery.

Purpose

From the beginning of history, human wandering on this globe was aided by Starlit skies. Travelers on Earth and Sea looked up and charted courses by the moving Heavens. Today should be no different as we move through an ever complicated plane of existence.

There are many tools of divination: whether by Palm reading, Tarot, or Runes, etc., a person can seek divine aid on their journey of self-discovery. But, essentially, all others require you to look down; Astrology, on the other hand, requires you to look up, This is a slight but important difference to raising one’s Consciousness. The mystery that informs and inspires includes concepts of the Astrological language, yet also relevances from Myth, Nature, and Philosophy — to help you see/comprehend the goings-on in your Human environs. Your move is to Act, in this Life, with a better, clearer sense of Purpose.
